This is a Tiger Beetle. You will notice that she has a broken part on our left. I had always wanted to photograph a tiger beetle looking into the camera, but normally they are not interested. This individual was resting on a low step in Central Missouri, where I was hanging out, JUST tripod height. I am very proud of this picture. It took me a long time to get it.
